CIMCO Edit – solution description
CIMCO Edit provides comprehensive tools necessary for editing CNC programs. The program has no limit on the number of lines or file sizes. It is possible to renumber blocks and find ranges in the X, Y, Z axes. It also includes basic mathematical functions, rotation, mirror and offset or tool compensation. Of course, it is possible to drop and drag text. CIMCO Edit can be adapted to any CNC programming environment.
The NC Assistant identifies a G- or M-code when you hover over it, allowing you to modify it using an interactive interface. It is possible to insert the desired value into the command, and the NC Assistant will update the code. This functionality is very useful for quick editing and inserting cycles and operations. CIMCO Edit includes built-in cycles and macros for the most frequently used sequences (such as program start, stop or tool change). You can also create and customize cycles and macros for your own applications.
CIMCO Edit has simulation and shows code paths for milling and lathes by following the program step by step and continuous machining. After editing, the program automatically updates, which is immediately visible in the simulation. The paths drawn by the program are also updated. They can be dynamically enlarged, moved, rotated and measured. In CIMCO Edit we have solid simulation taking into account material removal, tool holder and collision detection. It is also worth taking an interest in the Machine Simulation add-on, which allows solid simulation of paths using the model and kinematics of a specific machine tool.
In CIMCO Edit it is possible to quickly and fully configurably compare two files, allowing you to easily find changes for similar NC programs. It is possible to remove, insert or change lines of code (things such as spaces or different block numbers are ignored). Differences can be displayed in several ways.

Saving Paths
as DXF Files
Each toolpath can be saved as a separate layer in the DXF file. Rapid moves are shown in red and working moves in green. Spiral moves are converted to arcs.

CNC-Calc is an add-on that allows you to create 2D contours, based on which G code is generated. It has many editing options such as advanced trimming, creating fillets, shifts or arrays. Using this add-on, creating programs for CNC milling machines and lathes is simple and pleasant. In addition to drawing itself, it is possible to load a DXF file as a contour. CNC-Calc is easy to use, has functionalities that make work easier, and calculates the path very quickly. It can be used together with other Cimco functionalities.
CIMCO NC-Base
CIMCO NC-Base supports the management of programs and related documents. It is based on an SQL database. It allows sharing folders between operators. The add-in transfers data such as programs, setup sheets and tool lists. The program has a version control system that tracks changes made to files and the ability to manage user permissions regarding file access.
CIMCO Mazatrol Viewer
CIMCO Mazatrol Viewer allows you to browse Mazatrol files. This allows you to check them on your computer before you upload them to your machine. The code is displayed in a user-friendly format, making it easy to make changes. The program has the ability to compare and browse files intended for multi-channel machines (displaying several channels at once). Editing options are similar to CIMCO Edit, including performing simple mathematical functions, rotations, mirroring, and tool compensation.

Types of licenses
Per-seat license
The license is assigned to the computer. After reinstalling the system or program, a new license key is required, which can be obtained from the distributor.
Network license
One of the computers in the company acts as a license server (with Windows). After installing the software on it (Network License Manager) and providing the serial number, the license pool is activated (1 network serial number contains several licenses). The license pool is available to all computers connected to the server in the local network. No more applications can be run at the same time than there are licenses in the pool.
