CAMWorks Wire EDM Pro – Solution Description
CAMWorks Wire EDM Pro includes groundbreaking new functionality that creates a program for a part with a single click. When the user clicks the “Solid to G-code” button, the system automatically searches the part for machineable features, identifies them, generates all operations according to the user’s preferences and settings, creates tool paths, and generates G-code. With the new CAMWorks Wire EDM Pro module, even complex 2-axis parts, 2-axis parts with draft walls, and full 4-axis parts can now be programmed with a single click.
The new CAMWorks Wire EDM Pro module also includes improved feature recognition for non-planar geometry. The new software uses geometry directly from the solid model to automatically construct and create the correct top and bottom profiles to properly define features.
In addition, the program simplifies code generation for Solidworks feature arrays, allowing you to specify precise entry points for cutting or scrap-free machining.
Selected program functions
Automatic detection of vertical areas and inclined walls
Automatic feature search finds vertical and sloped wall areas based on the 3D model and creates 2-axis features for them, for which paths are ultimately generated.
EDM cutting parameters
Tables with EDM cutting parameters and tool offsets are selected automatically, editable by the user and are included in the NC code.
Automatic selection of bridge size and location
Automatic selection of the location and size of the bridge for the detail. The user can also modify these parameters and add new bridges independently.
Support for Solidworks subroutines and arrays
Automatically recognize SOLIDWORKS patterns, apply machining strategies, and use subroutines to efficiently machine patterns.
Automatic programming of 4-axis part machining
Feature recognition and automatic programming of even the most complex 4-axis parts at the touch of a button, with user-defined machining strategies!
Wire EDM machining simulation
Integrated virtual G-code simulation with animation speed and quality settings. High magnification of the machining area allows for a closer look at small features in high resolution, providing precise control.
Two-axis waste-free machining
Two-axis scrap-free roughing can remove material of virtually any shape
Automatic selection of the starting point in the hole
Automatically recognizes start holes for single or multiple profiles and automatically generates lead-ins based on their locations.
